Maximising Your Body Cleansing Rituals With Aromatherapy Associates

As Spring arrives we partner with Aromatherapy Associates to discuss reviewing our beauty rituals to welcome the new season

Beauty

To kick off the new season and as part of our month long Spring Equitox campaign we are focusing on all things related to detoxing the body! Our friends at Aromatherapy Associates are experts in therapy through essential oils and can have on the body at a therapeutic level.

Rose Price is one of Aromatherapy Associates therapists. Rose talks us through how best to nourish during shower time to provide our body with decadent moisture as part of our Spring Equitox.

Step 1. Scrub off your dry skin cells

Your Lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help the body get rid of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials, which is exactly what you need when preparing for your perfect summer skin. Indulge in smoother skin by massaging a body scrub onto your damp skin in circular motions and rinsing off with warm water and pat dry. Not only will it effectively remove any dead skin cells on the surface of the skin giving more effective penetration of products, it will also really boost your circulation and stimulate your Lymphatic system. We love Aromatherapy Associates’ Revive Body Scrub; is micro-bread free and instead made from natural corncob and bamboo extract.

Step 2. Supercharge your Shower

Not only a great way to wake up and cleanse, we supercharge our shower for uplifting and invigorating benefits with the use of an indulgent shower oil.

Rubbing one cap of premium oil onto your torso before entering the shower can lead to all sorts of benefits. If you’re feeling sluggish, have low energy, suffer from jet lag or even want to treat cellulite this is a great addition to your morning routine. The oil can penetrate into your blood stream almost instantly and will stay in your blood stream for up to 8 hours. Try using the uplifting and invigorating blend of the Aromatherapy Associates’ Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oil. Rosemary essential oil stimulates your blood circulation kick starting your energy for the day. Pink Grapefruit will have a detoxifying effect on the body while Juniper berry acts as a diuretic helping with fluid retention.

Step 3. Layer Locking

After showering you must give your skin the hydration and nourishment that it needs. For optimum results, we recommend a thorough 3-step layer locking system.
1. A refreshing, hydrating body gel. We like to think of this as a glass of water for thirsty skin. Our Revive Body Gel is a gorgeous lightweight gel which is applied to dry skin after showering. It penetrates into the skin, giving instant hydration.
2. Nourish the skin with more oils. A quick absorbing body oil gets working to the deepest layers. You can use the oil all over the body daily or directly on to areas of cellulite or fluid retention & puffiness. We recommend our Revive Body Oil with essential oils of Rosemary, Pink Grapefruit and Juniper Berry
3. Lock in the layers of hydration with lotion. It’s so important to retain the benefits of the previous stages and protects the skin from the environment. Our Revive Body Lotion contains Sodium Hyaluronate. This is an incredible ingredient, which can hold and retain water in the skin not only deeply hydrating the skin but also giving a plumping effect on the outside.
